Podcasting/RSS
Cast a wider net and never lose touch through Podcasting, global sermon syndication, rss feeds* and publishing... sustain a connected church community regardless of geography.
Anyone can plug an iPod into any online computer and download audio sermons, video sermons, teachings or full-feature films, teaching manuals, word docs, contacts, spreadsheets, power point presentations. If they only have a computer, but not a iPod, they can subscribe to RSS feeds that will pull the same content into their browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
This is about keeping your missionaries connected.
This is also excellent for the college-age who are with you during the summer, but away during the school year. They can stay connected to their home fellowship and friends regardless of the location of the school or seminary they are attending.
For those who miss a Sunday, or are sick, or on vacation, they can still remain in touch with the physical church during the week.
Epiphany Systems sites are designed to manage your sermons with ease. We allow you to create sermon categories, series and connect audio, documents, images and other media files to sermons. When audio files are uploaded, our system optimizes the mp3 at a 24mhz rate for audio streaming and podcasting.
This allows a 28MB to be uploaded, but resampled and streamed at a size as low as 3MB. What does this mean to you? Lower hosting fees. The original audio file is stored as well.
We allow your sermon audio to be streamed live in your on-site jukebox, downloaded for future listening, syndicated for podcasts and ask us how we can automatically upload your mp3s directly into the iTunes store. Files such as Word documents and Powerpoint presentations are also made available for download by users.
"Now our congregants with IPODs can download the sermon and the Powerpoint as an mp3 from any internet connection and play it back anywhere in the world. This is exciting news for college student members away for studies, or missionaries, to keep them closely linked with your local church."
